1st World Building Project- The Ancient Temple.
Located in the middle of a forest, surrounded by little ponds is an ancient temple of Lord Shiva. Nandi, his celestial bull & order-carrier always resides in front of Lord Shiva. The oil lamps always add to the beauty of the temple architecture and the energy there.
I created a basic turnaround for this project, simply camera animation, as blender simulations are challenging to render (initial thoughts were to add breeze simulations so that the trees' leaves would move and lamps would flicker slightly). The system was glitching a lot so I could not work more on this project 🙃.
Check out the 12th picture- There are in total 4 lamps hanging down on either side by chains, stone chains... two on each side. The stone chain idea was inspired from a real ancient temple in South India, where huge stone chains hang down from atop the corners of the temple roof .
Many temples in India are built with old granite, so I wanted to give a granite texture to this temple too. Oil lamps enhance the beauty of the temple. The Nandi model here is imported from sketch fab, the trees and landscape (an add-on) from blender kit. Everything else has been modelled by hand.
